I need to find a kind of dielectric grease that will not corrode copper contacts.
I took apart my headlight combination switch and cleaned it a few months ago but it started acting up again. Took it apart and found the type of dielectric grease I used corrodes copper contacts.
They type of grease I used is the regular $1 off the shelf silicone based dielectric grease from O’rielley’s. I know there has to be something better than this, as the factory grease did not cause corrosion.
(I know this was corrosion because copper rusts blue-green)
