Need GC coilover directions!!!

Anyone got their old GC coilover installation directions laying around that I could get my hands on. Either through email or a webpage. Thanks, Mike

what’s so specific about GC instructions? aren’t they just like any other coilover set?

I got used pair of used ITR GC coilovers, and just wanted to see if their is anything I should know before installing.

as far as i know as long as they aren’t the koni specific GC’s then you just install them like normal. Remove the old springs, slip the collar over, secure the collar, thread the perch on, set the spring on ther perch, put the top part of the shock back on…and wala! you’re done. i know my coilovers were that simple.

Do the two black o-rings go over the plastic black sleeve to secure it onto the shock?

I’m only doing the front anyways.

I have the koni instructions

put the o-rings over the shock body. then use duct tape to secure them in place. next just slide the threaded collar down over the shock body and o-rings. The o-rings just help to secure the collar over the shock body and keep it from moving around (you’ll notice that the shock body is much smaller dia than the inside of the threaded collars).

not sure if the GC’s have it or not… but i’ll mention it anyway. some coilover sets use set screws to secure the collar over the shock body. Personally i do not like this method. it doesn’t seem as secure to me as large rubber o-rings…but it does still work.

Those o-rings might not work too well since ITR shocks are different diameter than G2 struts. go to an autoparts store and dig around for o-rings that fit snuggly between the strut and coilover sleeve when you start installing them.

I’m utilizing ITR shocks already.:ok:
The front is 1 1/2 higher than rear with the ITR OEM shock/spring combo on my sedan. I will be using the GC ITR’s in the front and ITR stock springs in rear for right know, since my rear is low enough and firm.
The ITR stock shock is a great shock, because the old one told me so.
