need help adjusting clutch on 91 gs

ok. i was looking at a couple other places on this forum and a couple other ones and i cant really find a definitive answer on how to do this properly. my clutch is fine, its got about 3500 miles on it or so. it engages/disengages properly… but i hate where the clutch releases at as far as the pedal is concerned. literally i can rest my foot on the pedal and press it in about a half an inch maybe a full inch and theres where my pedal releases at. i want it to release a couple inches off the floor board as 99% of all of my other cars have acted. if someone could be awesome and help me out a lil bit it would be greatly appreciated.

and keep in mind this is my first da and to my knowledge one of my first cable clutches with the exception of my mustangs
from what ive been reading theres a couple adjustment nuts on the top of the clutch pedal itself. if someone could possibly provide pictures that would be great…thanks peoples

just so im clear, you want your pedal to ENGAGE the clutch a few inches off the floor instead of how it is now where it engages pretty high from its normal resting position?

this is correct

there is a bolt at the top of the clutch pedal that adjusts the height. tighten it all the way down until there is no free play in the pedal and go from there. if there isnt an adjustable bolt then get a bolt and put a nut on it.
