Need Help Asap B4 The Boards Go Down!

K.

Why is my car shifting into gear and like pretty hard. like a “clunk” or takes a few seconds and then it goes into gear. I was shifting from 1st to 2nd and it shifts hard only in those gears. I checked the tranny fluid and it okay, but Im thinking about just changing with new stuff. My engine oil was kinda low too. BTW this is for a 2000 Honda Accord LX 4cylinder.

Sorry for posting in the section, but no one will check the others fast enuf.

automatic??? how many miles?

is it still under warranty?

Yah its an automatic. It has 45000 miles. This car has been giving me prob after prob. I wish it was still under warranty.

should have gotten a G2.:stuck_out_tongue:

sorry , dont know what else to tell ya.

i think he does have a g2, he’s just asking g2ic people about his accord. shrug

Check the Hydrolic cylinder for the clutch. Theres a master and a slave cylinder so it will still function if one goes out. But not well.

yah I have a g2.

Where do I find those master and slave cylinders for the auto tranny? Do I need to check fliud levels r sumthin? Thanks!

try a tranny fluid flush, be sure to use honda atf.

i had a CRX that did that. get the linkage checked.

His car does not have a “linkage.” It has a hydro tranny. You should get an Accord manual to do the repair youself. I am not familiar with the locations of hydro transmission components. Maybe visit a 94+ honda board and ask questions there? Even if you get an informed person here, chances are they are a cable tranny person.

lol OH YEAH they stopped cable shift odb2 didnt they?

Since its an Auto I thought it was a cable still? You guys aren’t talking about manual trannies right. I have an AUTO 4 cylinder honda accord LX 2000. Thanks so much everyone

Ya I thought it was a stick since you said “the 1 to 2 shift”, but I don’t know squat about autos. Sorry.

y6eah back to my previous comment, get the linkage checked.
