need help asap passenger side axle leaking transmission fluid

i am having a transmission leak on the passenger side axle, yes and i searched about where the leaks coming from before it doesnt leak just after i changed both of my axle i know the oil seal that the passenger axle goes into the transmission is bad and my question is is there a safe way of removing the old oil seal/axle seal? should i used special tools to remove it? anybody have done this before any ideas? this is goin to be my first time removing and changing it so help is very much appreciated…

I just recently replaced mine poped it out wit a screwdriver tap the new one in now big deal

A seal-removal tool can be invaluable… especially on a seal that is being a bitch. A seal-driver can also be nice when installing the seal… or just use a socket.

i think ive seen that kind of tool when i went to autozone this morning but the problem is i am not familiar to use this kind of tool. should i put one of the pointed tip around the seal where it meets the transmission housing i mean in between the seal and the housing and just pry it out or put the tip inside the middle hole at the back of the seal where the axle splines slides into.

and by the way when i change that passenger axle when i pry it out most of my transmission fluid came out is this normal or i broke something inside?

When you pull your axle, transmission fluid is supposed to come out… well, that is if you didn’t drain the fluid prior to removal, which you’re supposed to do.

You slide one tip of the tool through the opening (where the axle goes in) of the seal and pry it out of the housing. Asking any rep working at autozone could show you how to use it. If you try to put something between the outer-edge of the seal and the housing, you risk gouging the surface and making your new seal leak oil.

pull out the axle seal with a flathead or anything with a hook …tapp a new one in flush with a socket…no biggie done it many timess bro its cake…remember it must sit flush and flat not slanted

remember to grease the new seal i put the seal in dry once and it still leaked a buddy told me to take it out and grease it and had no problems with leaking after that. Just my experience.
