check the relay or that thing i dont know whats it called at the moment. its like a switch like a thermostat to tell the fans to come on when it gets too hot.
yup, check the relay, I had that problem… Try to swap it with the A/C fan relay(If ya got A/C).
The Thing Louie55 is talking about is the ECT(Engine Coolant temperature) which is located near the oil filter on the 90-91 and just under the distributor on the 92-93…
HTH!
-check the Fan Relay
-check the Fan Switch which is located on the right side(i cant remember) of the oil filter. there’s different name that it could be called such as fan thermo switch, etc. etc. but it’s NOT the coolant temperture sensor.
and make sure we’re getting a 12volt power going to it.
Like AZN said, check to make sure that the fan relay is getting power (blk/yel) wire. if you are, then ground the yellow/green wire and see if the fan comes on (with relay installed). If it does, then you know that it is the coolant temp switch (behind the block). If the fan does not come on then you know it’s the fan relay at fault.
