Hey guys I’m new to the da world so plz be patient with me ok see i have a 91 gs auto an im having a few problems the first one is the trans isnt shifting right 2nd gear isn’t engaging like its suppose to it idles really high when im driving fast but I’m going slow it will engage after but really rough i dont know why its doing this but it shifts perfect in ever other gear.
2ndProblem is when I’m driving on the freeway the e brake light comes on an stays on even after i cut the car off an it will stay on for about 3days then go off.

3rd problem is my speedometer isn’t connected to the Trans an i have no clue of were its.suppose.to go
An my final problem is my hazardlights don’t work at all so can you his llz help

ebrake light staying on is a common problem. i had the issue when i got my second da. it would come on at random times and stay on then it would turn off whenever. it stopped on its own. to check it though, if you take off the ebrake boot and look down in there, you will see a little peg sticking up with a single wire coming off of it. this the ebrake ground. you should also see a little button in there too. pull the ebrake up and press the button with your finger to see if the ebrake light on the cluster reacts.
if it doesnt then your problem is there. you can mess around with it by unplugging that ground wire or whatever. an ebrake light is easy to shoot just because of simple the system is
- the vss is connected to the back of the tranns. it has a single cable running into the top of it and 2 ps hoses going into it. from the top it looks like a flying saucer. check to make sure that the cable didnt come out
if you dont have service manual i suggest you get one. there is a lof of good info in it and it will help with trouble shooting. you should be able to download it anywhere. google “91 integra fsm+zip” just like that

ebrake light can also indicate low brake fluid, or the float in the master cylider is stuck, or wires running from the master cylinder cap are shorted somewhere.
hazard lights nor working could be that some jackwad cut the green/white wire running to the front of the car. you should be able to locate it on the passenger side by the battery & intake box. ALso check the switch connections. you might be able to find a wiring diagram on line soewheres, I highly suggest you look for one… it will help a helluva lot for diagnosing electrical issues.
As far as the transmission DA_All_day is probably correct… but as with all transmissions it could be that you need to replace the fluid and have the transmission filter serviced as well. with auto trannies it is always a crap shoot, so best of luck there.
Ok an i just say today that the dumbass i got the car from cut allot of wires an mickymoused allot of stuff so im gonna just get another wiring harness for the car an i fixed the speedometer but it lags really bad i i can be doing 20 an it says im doing 5 do u guys know y this is thanks for the hel
Just inquired a new problem the car wont start unless i move the shifter up more into Park an when i go to cut the car off i have to wait till the cars all the way off to do anything if i don’t it will cut back on
replace your transmission…
changing the fluid may help a little but your problems dont seem like they will be fixed from new fluid… this would be a perfect opportunity to do a manual swap…

5 speed transmissions for these cars are tough as hell ( as long as you take care of em)
