I am having trouble removing the flange bolt that holds the upper arm in, i tried areokoil spray and went through 5 14mm sockets (until I got impact ones). Any ideas?
the bolts that are in the engine bay??? Because those should come out with no problem. What I thought was a pain in the ass was the little bar that wraps around the back of the spring/strut.
He said rear
However, I had no problems taking those bolts in the rear out. Those were the only ones I DIDN’T have a problem with… but then, I was using an impact gun…
I also have an impact wrench, I heated the bolt up then it loosened slightly, but when I go to take it out, the bolt isnt coming out on the other side (the head of the bolt), it is pushing the metal apart that it bolts the upper arm to. It is coming out the threaded side and pushing that side out more, Is there anything im not doing right?
The spot weld that holds that bolt to the body may have broken or you don’t have enough air in your impact wrench.
no its not broken yet, the bolt comes out but only on the threaded side, its like its stuck on the other side
anyone?
