need help repairing rocker panels :-(

Hi guys I’m having a issue where I wanna get rid of my teggy cause its falling apart and I don’t have the time to keep up with it. Well my biggest concern is my rocker panels are crushed and rusted. I want to repair them I just need some guidance for the best way to do it besides pay a bodyshop. Should I try and cut it out and weld new sheet metal or try and put sheet metal over it. Help me out. Here’s a old pic of the damage

If the rust on the fender is bad enough, replace the front fender. Then get rid of the rust and prime the spot under the door. Find a set of side skirts you like. Install the side skirts and the dent will be covered. I had a similar dent on my passenger side of my DA. I had to use a hammer to massage the metal to fix the gap so my door would not close on my side skirt. Most of the time, a dent like that happens when someone jacks the car up in the wrong place.
