Need help selecting wheels

Hey guys,

I’ve never had custom wheels on my 93 integra. Its a project car, almost finished - painted, new engine, 1" lowered, yadda.

14 steelies currently on car. I am digging Enkei RZ-5, gunmetal with machined lip. When I view them on tirerack, they are only listed as option for 16, 17, though they are sold as 15’s. Im guessing then the offset is incompatible?

Here are my questions. This car has been majorly soundproofed, and its going to be a daily driver. So comfort and sound level are top. Anyone who knows or can provide experience moving from 14’s on up would be greatly appreciated. 14’s look terribly small on the car, do you sacrifice a whole lot to move to 15 or even as large as 16?

16 = 205/45-16 tires, where American Racing Santa cruz 15 = 195/55-15.

I realize the sidewall reduction prob results in stiffer ride, but no doubt most of you can tell me what to expect.

Thanks! Shelley

“majorly soundproofed” is an understatement! lol

im sure since your running stock supension. the increase in stiffness is going to be negligible. the only thing your gonna sacrifice from upsizing your wheels is the low key factor. personally my vote would be for a 16’ wheel. im not sure whats the tallest tire your could fit but im sure you could get at least a /50 in there. your in CA. Im sure just based on the wheels I see on here that you could probly get localy that looking around on craigslist would be a very viable option. buy your tires online and get them M&B’ed localy.

IMO - 16’s if the car is going to be a show car, or you just want looks

15’s for street/track use

I’m planning on getting enkei rpf1’s this fall just because it’s in 15 and a great offset, plus they are really light which is great because i’m building my car as a street/track/all around function car
