Need help with unknown lever under dashboard.

So I was under my dash looking for the main fuel relay and what I found in the process was this. Directly above the accelerator pedal, attached to the same bracket as the pedal, is another lever with a metal cable (which looks just like the throttle cable) attached to it. The cable looked loose and so I pulled on it and it came out of wherever it was leading to. Now I have about 2 feet of metal cable hanging down in my driver side floor boards and have no idea what this is or where it goes, and why I have never noticed it before. I sent pictures of it to a buddy of mine that knows the G2 pretty darn well and he has no idea what it could be.

Can anybody help shed some light on this? It appears as if the cable has been cut, leading me to wonder if the guys at the shop did it, because I’ve never noticed it before today.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As far as I know the only other cable on the accelerator pedal will be for cruise control.

if your cruise control doesnt work then thats the reason. check to see if the have the cruise control box in your engine bay. its black box that should be near one of the strut towers.

Yeah, definitely the CC cable…

cruise control, goes thru the firewall and into the cruise control box there are two circular grommets on your firewall, the left one is CC cable, the right is your throttle cable. i deleted my CC the other day, i was able to take the cable off without cutting but still that secondary lever is there.
