Okay so i have a db1 with a b16a and my exhaust is really getting on my nerves. I currently have an ebay header and obx cat with a stock muffler. I just recently put back the stock muffler on the car because the muffler I had on before was too loud. I liked the sound of it when I first got the exhaust done but now I’m just tired of it and I thinking of putting back the whole stock exhaust system. My question is would it be worth it to upgrade the valvetrain and intake manifold with a stock exhaust? I want the quietest ride possible but I still want a little more pep from the engine. Would a stock exhaust system with a magnaflow cat suffice? All opinions are welcome and sorry for the long post.
P.S. I know the header and obx cat are crap but I bought them in my early ricer days. I now know you get what you pay for.
imo i don’t think it well give u enough exhaust flow due to the small piping… if u want a quiet exhaust that give u more pep is either go with the Greddy SP2 or RSR, if not then probably custom piping w/ some type of quiet universal muffler out there… u can maybe try out the pacesetter one’s but don’t know if there loud or not… i currently have the sp2 and love it, quiet yet performace gains, sound nice ass hell too…
Would an itr muffler work? I don’t want to go back to a big ass muffler hanging off the back of my car. Would having the stock header with a performance muffler and carsound cat be better?
itr won’t fit, maybe the mid-pipe but not the axle back… well actually both well fit but your muffler well sit on the wrong side of the car (passenger)… just either go custom or aftermarket… u have no other way of lessen those exhaust resrictions
