McGard are great units… they’re the supplier for the OEM Honda/Acura wheel locks. You shouldn’t have any issues.
Yeah the listing I posted for them above, I contacted the seller to see if they would come in Mcgards packaging to confirm they are real, and he said they buy them in bulk so they with just come in a bag. Im trying to figure out whether or not to be concerned about that. He said they where real, and the company has awesome feedback, im just unsure. They’re a sweet deal for sure!
yeah that’ll be the case sometimes… just like summit racing, order gorilla lug nuts all the time from them and they’ll come in a bag with a key
So I contacted McGard to get more info and they said that the spline lugs are made specifically for aluminum wheels… what the heck does that mean? He mentioned something about the OAL depth being 1.28" which I less than 1" of internal depth, basically the main worry is bottoming out the lug on the stud. Im using the lugs for a set of MB Competition wheels, should this be something I should be concerned about?
probably wouldnt worry unless your running extended studs…
the reason why they probably said aluminum wheels only is because of the seat taper meaning its not meant for OEM wheels with ball or acorn seats
Just bought some McGards. $66 shipped w/key and new valve stems. Now its time to get a torque wrench. I dont quit trust my arms. haha
Would it be safe to stick with the oem 80ft/lbs? Or should i go a little extra for the track?
