The write-up is for a 5-lug swap, but I’ve read numerous posts that say the process is the same for the 4x114.3 swap.

beat me to it but ya he right just follow that link

DAMN! i think i know what im gonna focus on after i get my GSR in this week!!! thanks guys!!

ok the fronts make sense but what about the rears isnt there a way you wouldnt have to use the type r rear end?

I’ve done the 5 lug conversion and all I can tell you is do it the right way or don’t do it at all. Taking short cuts will just result in you having to do things all over again.

there is a guy sellin 4x114.3 swap on here i think from va

that link is not completely accurate.
the 4x114 front knuckles (96 itr) have a different curvature than the 98+ itr 5 lug. they’re much more similar to a da’s.
you can get away with using the 96 knuckles, but you have to add negative camber, as the knuckles will place a couple degrees positive on the geometry.
as for the rears, you can just throw in the entire trailing arm. but if you really don’t want to, the only major difference is the spindle diameter and hub/bearing assembly. you can unbolt the spindle/hub from the 96 itr trailing arm and swap it over to yours if you want.
of course, after all is said and done, swing it through the alignment shop
