I just purchased a 90 Integra yesterday, 125 dollars, great shape, but with a dead auto tranny. I plan on going all out autocross/weekend driver style on this car. Goals involve a turbo, LS/Vtec, full suspension, roll cage, ect… But my first prob is the tranny. I wanted to run a Type R tranny due to the Helical LSD, but I have been hearing so many negatives about doing the hydro conversion that I am left more confused then when I started. So what is the best recommendation here, goal is around 300whp. I would like this most simple tranny swap possibly, but if it will cost an extra grand or so, I would rather go through the hassle of a hyrdo conversion. So what are my options for a cable tranny with helical LSD, and what kind of costs am I looking at. Thanks for the help.
