just got a new engine put in B18 block with type r pistons and b20 head all new gaskets now its leaking antifreeze where the head gasket is but it’s not overheating any help
why the b20 head? i heard those heads has Less airflow…
but anyhow… is your oil milky?
I have some sort of the same problem, its leaking coolant on mine too, but my oil aint milky, Didnt use b20 head thoz but a b20 block on LS head
no milky oil I used the b20 head cuz i had it all machined and it was something that was alot newer
maybe you got a leak around the thermostat area, Check there… IM doing that today on mine also lols…
I been having this strange leak also just like yours… whenever i step on it hard, and come to a stop open up the hood and I can hear something falling onto my exhaust and hear it sizzle… I kno its coolant because it smells Sweet…
ck all the little hoses running in the intake manifold. they are known to harden up and leak when the motor is hot. Get someone to compression test the motor and you will find your leak. If it’s hitting the exhaust I’m positive it’s leaking from one of those hoses. As far as the leak between the block and head, it could be torqued wrong or just be blown. It can have a blown gasket without milking the oil. sorry can’t help much on that one.
It was the coolent temp sensor it wasn’t tightend all the way. ![]()
