New Fuel Tank??

First, not sure where this post should be exactly so upfront, sorry mods. I dropped the tank on my 91 LS to replace the pump and found that everything inside was covered in 2 inches of rust! (Slight Exaggeration):down:
So I’ve searched methods of cleaning the tank which include several different acids and/or a lot of difficult and slightly dangerous work!:bang:

I also looked for new tanks and the cheapest I found was around $125 shipped. So my question is: Do you guys think I should try to clean the original or just fork up the $$$$ for a new tank?

I had this same problem with my truck. The rear tank was completely covered in rust inside.

Not sure how much a new tank for the integra costs, but I ended up going to a local Salvage yard and pulling a tank of a truck that was in much better condition. And it was dirt cheap.
