Just wanted to quickly introduce myself to you guy’s here . New to the DA chasis but not new to the whole Honda game . I owned 6 EF chasis vehicle’s (3 hatchback civic’c and 3 CRX’s) before purchasing my 91 Integra LS . Here’s a quick shot of my last hatch that I sold so i could pick up my Integra .
1990 Si , swapped in a D16z6 and a whole bunch of suspension goodie’s , miss it like crazy but i think i’ve moved onto a better chasis Here’s the teggy i picked up to replace it , 91 LS and super clean for the year i think , not to mention I live in canada , so we got brutal winter’s here that take it’s toll on your vehicle .
Welcome to G2IC. Odd that you have a LS with power door locks especially in the car color with brown interior. Here in the US I have only seen your color car with the brown interior in a LS trim and maybe a RS which do not have door locks. Do you have ABS? If you have ABS you definitely have a GS.
No , it doesn’t have ABS . It does have power everything though ( lock’s , mirror’s , sunroof , window’s ) To be honest , I havn’t seen another one with the same colour combination as mine here in Edmonton yet either . Wasn’t a huge fan of the colour scheme at first but it quickly grew on me after a while . Im positive it’s an ls though , it has the badging on the rear , and I picked it up bone stock off an older lady when it came in on trade at the dealership I work at . For the low price of $1000 I might add
LOVE the brown interior.
Wow I love EF’s and that last one was minty clean ! But the DA is even better, I usually dont like any other interior colors than the black on the DAs but your brown is looking pretty good. Whats the plans for this beast?
Well so far I’ve just done the basic maintenance on it , T-belt , water pump , plugs and wires , cap and rotor , changed all the fluids etc… Winter is coming soon here so I plan on tucking it away in the garage . When I first bought it I wanted to lower it as soon as possible so o could put my rims on it for the summer , I used eibach springs on stock shocks which I planned on swapping out over winter for koni yellows but when I checked them out at a local shop here , there telling me that the fronts are discontinued . So first thing is to get some full coilovers (currently looking at form and function) , then bolt on the magnaflow exhaust kit I ordered to replace the rusty and leaking exhaust currently on it . Then hopefully come across some JDM 1 piece headlights . This is my seventh Honda and none of the previous ones being boosted , I’m toying with the idea of boosting this one . Still have to do alot of researching and reading up on it though . If not , I’ll probably invest in a good rear swaybar and brace and some other suspension goodies !
I see, well for the koni’s, you can always get ones thats for a eg/dc. They’ll work, all you need is to do is use eg/dc forks for the front and you should be golden. I say foot work before power, and when power comes you have the foot work to handle it. So suspension definitely sounds like a good plan ! If she goes away for the winter, what will you be driving?
Thanks for the heads up on the eg/dc fronts ! Ya , I hear you about suspension before power . My last EF I had all poly bushings through out , front and rear strut bars , eibach springs and koni yellows , suspension techniques rear swaybar ,blox lower control arms and a good set of pads and rotors on the front . Handled like a dream but was a little down on power hence the Z6 swap with bolt ons at the end of it . Winters are long and cold here in northern Alberta so it gives me lots of time to sort everything out . As far as a winter beater goes , I had a 81 full-size Bronco last winter while I overhauled the civic . Can’t see me going another winter without 4x4 so I might look for another one .
wow man that’s clean! love it. those rims look great on the car as well.
Thank’s man !
wow. C L E A N that interior looks like it should still have the plastic on it. great find man! ill be watching this to see where it goes! start making that boost parts list!
;)Thanks 91ls5speed for the kind word’s . Like I said earlier , I’ve never boosted any of my earlier Honda’s so im looking forward to building this one up . Just expect alot of dumb question’s from me over the next few month’s
Here’s a picture from the front , as you see I still gotta come alot lower in the front .
