ive looked around the and site finally made an account my name is adam and i am in the process of completely rebuild a 90 da9 im going fully build gsr, full tuck/shave, and every other detail redone.
here is the progress so far
i bought a 90 teg for $1300 around the end of September 2010 and i am now in the process of completely rebuilding it, the interior was there kinda… so i just bought a whole new one for it. it was originally black and white and everyone that knew the car called it “the panda” but i have removed most the black on the passenger side and tried the driver but gave up this is how it i am doing a full shave/tuck with unknown motor plans for now this is goin to be a long long project
first day(i was fixing the shifter)
wat was under the hood
paint removal
its better…
i dont have pics but the whole passenger quater panel was replaced at some time which explains the two tone paint
pics of the new interior believe it or not these are the seats and carpet that came in the car
so the car needed so many part i bought this shell for 300$
ls out
dash out for tuck and i took the chassis harness out of the shell to make the car obd1
nice man its definitely a project but a good one for sure… its nice to see more people rocking B18C’s instead of B16’s in their DA. cant wait to see more progress.
thanks
yea there was no way i would spend money on a b16 i would’ve went ls/v before that
as for now im just going to finish the shave then it goes back together
so ive been preoccupied with other stuff lately since my house got struck by lightning. But i did get the rtas knuckles front lcas and crossmember powder coated also got four brand new calipers that are poweder coated red also just waiting to order oe parts to go further here some pis of the new parts
Nothing wrong with a B16A in the DA :). Most people can’t even handle the power of the stock B16A on a circuit track anyways, but people go for straight line speed so that is void I guess. Why the full wire tuck? Looking good so far though.
The b16a just doesn’t have the power I’m looking for so I went Gsr because that’s what I came across. And I’m not sure I just really like the look of a shaved bay
i only got two of the top hats painted and just bolted the calipers on to the knuckles to see the effect still need pads, ball joints, and rta bushings and this thing will be all set also got my short shifter today
I tried oven clearer first it helped, some then I went to just a paint scraper but got most of it off with a power washer it sucked and fucked the paint up bad paint was pretty clean before some retard painted it black
