New Member with a few questions.

Hey everyone,

My name is Jake im new to posting on forums, I normally just read what other people have posted and go from there but as I get more into my (very slow) “build” I find myself coming into issues I cant find on other peoples posts. I may just be searching the wrong things as I dont consider myself too mechanically inclined (I am just an 18 year old highschool student) im just trying to learn what I can and wing the rest. I bought my car bone stock and have been working with it for 2 years now. The reason i posted is so someone can give me a rundown on what posts go in what forums, like questions that are sort of off the wall random ex. “atf in oil to clean out crank case” I know where normal questions go I just dont want to be that stupid kid that post in the wrong forum!

Thanks,
Jake

Also Here is a 3 month old picture of my teg I have a few more things done now

Car looks great! Seems rare to see a clean and simple Integra these days. As for what forums to post in, just read the descriptions, it’s REALLY self explanatory. For example, your question about using ATF to clean the engine internals would go in “Stock Engine Bay Components” as it’s a general engine question for your stock engine - again, read the descriptions under each forum title.

Also, don’t bother with ATF, that’s for transmissions, not engines.

Colin,

Thanks man,
I try to keep my car simple and not over done I hate over done hondas! :bang: and as for the oil treatment thanks, im just trying to find a way to breathe some more life into my 24 year old motor. Just need it to last me till november when I have a month off work to swap it as it is my daily and it will be my first swap attempt :excite::uhoh: anyways thanks for the direction! looking forward to being apart of this forum!

Thanks,
Jake

At this point there’s nothing you can do about the insides, what’s done is done. And if you’re only worried about the next few months then honestly I wouldn’t put a dime into it unless there’s something that’s causing reliability issues. Personally I’d rather save that $$ and put it towards your planned swap.

Best of luck!
