New paint texture attracts dirt quick

I got a cheap paint job (850$) (prepped myself) acrylic single stage with integrated clear and uv. It actually looks great, wet and like new after a wash and dry, but on very close inspection it isn’t perfectly smooth, kinda pitted, orange peel maybe? the 80% of the car is smooth but still does it somewhat.

The only problem I’m having is that the car gets dirty extremely quick, just 1 day and there is dust stuck to it like it’s attracted by static, even if I don’t drive it. I guess it’s because the texture of the paint, but is there anything to fix this without destroying the paint, leaving scratches, etc?

welcome to the joys of owning a black car!! when was the last time/has the car been waxed?

serious just clay it and wax. if it still feels bumpy then color match it by wet sanding it… claying alone should be enough so give it a try and let us know how it turns out.

DO NOT WET SAND! Single stage paint is never meant to be wet sanded as the base coat and clear coat are in one stage and it’s impossible to tell how much clear is laid upon the base. If you wet sand it you will take clear off (if there is any in that particular spot), but you could also destroy the paint below.

yea, i just got my 1st black car a year ago. joy, but i like it still.

I’ve had the car since 06, it’s always been black but never had the issue until now. I’ve waxed it with miguiers, haven’t ever tried using clay before but I will look into it.
I’ve wondered if maybe a orbital polisher may be able to help out some
