same thing happend to me
lol
thats y i dindt use any clearcoat for moldings/sideksirts
if you were to compare the new paint on your sideskirts to your car 15 years ago, it would be the same…even if your paint is well taken care of for 15 years, it’ll still fade. that’s why paint matching is a biatch.
paint with no clear matched 90%
with clearcoat
100% off
this is with clear
this is no clear on moldings
see how it matches so so much more?
oh yah i painted moldings freaking 3 times cuz it never matched
then i found out it was the clear so i didnt clear!
hahah that looks exactly the same as mine
do anyone have all the pics on the fitting of tha DC skirts on the DA…cuz im in tha process of doing mine now n need to kno wat to cut off n were to drill tha holes to mount it on…thanx
To mount, I used the holes from the DC fitting, and just put a self-tapping screw and a couple washers to make it fit the oblong hole. I trimmed a lot from the bottom of the sideskirt, basically got it to about 1/2" length of skirt after the line of holes. I probably trimmed about 1.5" of plastic off.
From under the car, this got the sideskirt to be cut about to the length of the ridge where the jacking points are, so it didn’t have to extend over this ridge akwardly. Then I just put a screw in every other hole or so, directly into the undercarriage :D. Y’might wanna put a dab of silicone on the washers or screw so this seals up well when you attach it. It’s not a problem for me, but I suppose this could cause rust or rotting in places that get lots of rain and snow.
ahh aight kool thanx man imma go do this now
