finally got the motor swapped finish! just gotta get my exhaust mounted up which is gonna be this weekend! plans are the same as my old one…
suspension, security, motor, rims(ls mesh?), paint, typical things!
91 ls with 92 b18a1, itr header and 2.5 inch intake
just an update on this car. its been totaled thanks to a motorcyclist having to much fun. and ill no longer be a g2ic owner and am now driving a 93 del sol si
wheel. meet firewall
if you ever have the chance to go to deals gap, dragons tail. do it. just not on a weekend. nighttime is great but you might see a few animals
nothing hit my roof. this is frame stress at its best
that sux to hear and see. if you still have the teg id use the motor and drop in the del sol unless u have the b16 in the sol. it looks clean by the way
i wish i still had the teg. the motor was rebuilt about 80k miles ago. but it happened 300 miles from where i lived and insurance just took it. so the last time i saw it was going to the tow yard where it was sitting and i let it run for its last time. the sols just the d16z6. it feels so slow compared to my teg. but im loving the targa top. but idd give anything for the tegs motor back.
i know around here if your car gets totaled you have the option to buy it back. id find out if its possible to buy it back and id get it if i was you. if there is a way, go for it.
i had the option. i did it with my first integra when it got t-boned. but i needed the money more then anything so i can get a new car and my dad didnt want another car sitting in our driveway. and i already had enough DA parts that i was trying to sell. i didnt need any more… noone around here has a DA. this town has fallen to the hellaflush 240sx scene and theres barely any honda owners out here anymore. although. i almost bought a new DA that had a b16a that was boosted with 11 psi and it was nice but i couldnt afford what the guy was asking. and my dad decided he was done with me having a fast car. i had to convince him del sols were truly in fact del slo’s. (which compared to my teg, there slow as grandmas in buicks.) but once i get my insurance money its getting a new motor, and possibly a vitara turbo build. and its gonna be built for a weekend track car.
edit: the worst part of it was i had a brand new set of skunk2 lowering springs ready to be put into the teg sitting at my house, and about 500$ that i put into it the week before i went to the meet. but like i said. if someone offers a chance to go to the tail of the dragon in nc. id highly advise doing it. its a great experience and a good test of your suspension set up.
and if you dont have much done suspension wise. dont worry. i did great with just a ebay strut bar.
