Has anyone replaced the cushions the springs sit against in the stock top hats? If so , where did you find them? or are there any alternatives out there? I know KYB sells the new bushing kits, but Im not sure about the spring cushion. I dont think Acura sells them anymore either.

I got mine from a scrap yard, along with the front springs.
The oem bushings and the metal collar are around $1 apiece ($3/set for one side), from hondapartsunlimited.com.
No reason to get the KYB bushing set, nothing special there, IMHO. Depending on what kind of setup you want the bump stop (or absence of one) is really more important.
I just wanted to throw some springs on my daily DA , but first i’ve had to source the factory suspension because the owner before me put crx struts on it along with crx rear lca’s . Thank you, i’ll check them out . Im just going for that semi-stiff feel on the daily. What would be the differences in bump stop or no bump stop?

On a daily driver, they mostly just cut some of the noise when you hit an occasional pot hole.
H&R OE Sport springs ($180/set @ Tire Rack) + KYB GR2 shocks + some OE rubber bits and washer == bit lower than stock (0.75"), bit stiffer, but still close to what the ride was new out of the factory (or any other similar combination).

Just FYI for anyone else that might be interested down the road. Found out that EG top hat cushions fit really well into our top hats aswell. Part number : 52686-SR0-003
