New Springs, Shocks?

I just bought a set of 3" lowering springs off of ebay, do I need new shocks for these? Anything else I need to know about problems with lowering? Any help would be great.

need camber kit, need new shocks…preferably koni yellows, and might want to get an alignment, just in case. HTH

Will it hurt not to get new shocks? Will it break anything? I mean, I’m definitely on a budget and all, but I’m not dumb enough to half-ass a job on my ride, ya know? -thanks

I think it all depends on how low you go. If you keep it less than 2" drop your stock shocks will last awhile.

However if you go up to 3", you will definately need some GOOD shocks, and when i say good i dont mean Tokico Blues or KYB GR-2’s.

If you dont want to half-ass it, get new shocks, you won’t regret it.

From what a lot of people on here recommend, the Koni Yellows are really good shocks, anyone know of a good place to get these for cheap? If so, any part #'s? By the way, me not being so suspensionally inclined, do our cars have front struts?

try nopionline.com they tend to have really good prices and very fast shipping. that is where i bought almost all the stuff i have on my car, and that is a lot. no matter where you look though, koni yellows are expensive. i am getting my car lowered 2" and i decided to go with tokico blues because i really didn’t think that i needed adjustable shocks. (which is what the koni yellows are)

yes shocks are good to have…and you will eventually need to replace your stock shocks so since you have the whole strut out for the spring installation you might as well put new ones on…and will also help the ride performance as well…and with a 3 inch drop you will really want to get a camber kit if you plan on keeping any set of tires for a while…
good luck man
