Because this is a rental racecar I have choosen to mount the kirkey seat on the stock sliders with some extra steel and of course there is a back brace that goes to the cage.
And speaking of cages " its about 80% done. I hope to finish it up this weekend and YES I have pictures but am unsure on how to post them here so I may have to put them on RPR and link it up.

I am looking forward to see the cage !

Sorry about the links but not sure how to post pictures
Before anyone comments this cage is still in the works and should be finished this weekend

Hello Chris,
Here are some pictures taken when I put my cage in. My partially completed at the time, non wheel to wheel cage has some significantly different requirements for solo, time trials and hill climbs then yours will have however it might provide you with some ideas.
I won’t say too much about your cage fabrication, every one has there own level of ability however when it comes to safety your leg breaker is just wrong!
By leg breaker do you mean the bar under the dash? I will admit that this cage is not the best and I rushed to install it without removing the dash which would have been a better/ tighter install like your cage which is nice.
The under dash bar is about 6" away from my legs and I thought it would be fine, Its was that or over the dash which blocks all the stock guages. There is also a bar on each front down bar that connects to the lower inner wheel well to prevent wheel intrusion.
Will post more when its done

nice tig welds. im assuming your using chromoly tubing?
No CroMo, just well cleaned and sanded, old pictures need to get up some current photos however mostly padding now.
cage is done
got the cage done and I think it will work just fine despite the rush install job.
I still need to bolt the front intrusion bars to the foot well area and install a seat back brace but everything else is good, even the shin basher bar which has padding is still at least 5 " away from my legs, (maybe not in a crash under extreme load) but lets hope I’m a better driver than that
Decals
here is a picture of the car with the decals on it:

Hello CHris,
Hey that looks pretty racey, nice job, did you do the graphics? Who cut the stickers? Oh and I fixed the picture for you!
thanx for fixing the picture, Yes I decaled it up myself, There is still a couple more sponsors to put on it but I need there stickers.
So the Acura lettering and symbol came from Honda or did you get some one local to cut them for you?
Sorry the name of the company that cut the graphics is in Vancouver Proper design and contact info can be found here:

IP2? Did you not get the B17 in there?
NOPE , no B17 rite now cause the money is low. It cost about $5000 to get the car to this piont. This car will never beat an S2000 or a Type -R so maybe a B17 is still in the future plans. The car pulls nice and the braking issues are gone with a new master cylinder
hey clean ride lucky you’ll get to drive it on a track no red lights or cops :burnout: what braking issues did you have? Read you pulled your ABS and swapped in non-ABS lines and prop valve… Did you use your old ABS master cylinder? Is the new MC a non-ABS…
racecar
Turns out that the caliper that was leaking was swaped out for one that was binding on the sliders and causing the issue. My parts store warranty’d the Hawk pads and the caliper and all is well. Still need to bleed the good Wilwood 570 fluid back through the system.
Car update - rented it for a driver training for one day event and it seemed to work fine with only a few minor issues - hole in exhaust and a small studder on the way home that I hope will be solved with a new fuel filter or perhaps the coil or ignitor are on there way out ? And still no oil cooler installed so the oil comes out BLACK.
The car is rented for the SCCBC opening race on the April 17,18,19 weekend
so I will update again.
