I am a long time Honda Racer but am now building a 92 teg for road racing.
It came with Koni single adjustables and I was told from Koni that these shocks would take about 700lbs. My buddy runs a 95 teg which is almost the same weight and he has 900 front and 1100 rear spring rates. So- I dont know if this was a good idea or not but I just decide to get the 700 lb Ground control coilovers all around. The second part to this will be the largest Rear swaybar that I can find to help the car rotate. This car is only track use.
Any comments?
Other mods I am working on this week

Type -R front brakes
Full race cage
Kirkey Seat
This car also came with the ABS system and was wondering if it was a good idea to keep it or find a proportioning valv from a NON -ABS car and get rid of it? I see this site sponsors a fast little H4 car that seems to be al over the web and would like to know more about the set-up on that car.
If the H4 car you’re talking about is edomoto, he had this to say about his setup over on honda-tech:
“700F 1000R with stock front bar and 32mm asr rear.
-5 Deg front camber -3 rear on 245-45 -16 toyos”
I don’t know how we could get that much front camber in IP3 since we aren’t allowed to use adjustable upper control arms like in H4.
You may want to check out www.roadraceautox.com, there are a few guys there who race DAs in SCCA’s ITA class and I know they’ve had several discussions on suspension setup. If you search for “ITA Integra setups” on there you should get some good hits.
Since the rules require us to disable it anyway, removing the ABS completely and swapping the proportioning valve from a non-ABS car seems to be the way to go. Supposedly this will save around 30 lbs.
Edik (edomoto) is no longer H4. He cleaned up in that class for years and I believe is now running H2.
Chris, keep us updated on your project. Seeing true race/track builds is rare around here. I’d love to see photos. I’m currently working on a track car as well, I wouldn’t call it full blown though. It will be street legal and won’t have a cage. I may get a bolt in rollbar though. I’m not yet to the point where I can turn the car into a full blown race vehicle, gut it for good and weld in a cage. Someday when I have more money and somewhere permanent to store the car that will be an option.
Am I going to have to change the RSR stainless exhaust that is on the car?
To be honest I really have not looked at what kind of clearance there is but did notice it has a stock rear sway bar and thought the ASR one would go in the same area.

Which RSR exhaust is it?
One of my friends has the ASR bar and I have seen pictures of it before on here somewhere. From what I remember, it is a tight squeeze.
Thats not the mount I was thinking of, The one I saw was the sway bar with the aluminum mount that ties the lower pick-up pionts and NOT that bracket hanging down from the chassis. Although the sway bar ends may still fall in the same spot.
Well , the ground control coil overs are in , 4 - 1 DC header installed with a little cutting of the front cross beam for fitment, new timing belt and alternator belt, and sunroof removed and sheet metal pop-riveted onto opening.
My next project is the brake system. I am removing the ABS system and installing a NON ABS proportioning valve and the 4 lines I removed from the donor teg in the junk yard. I am aware that the rear lines dont quite reach and need to be extended to the valve and I am also aware that the rear orfice on the Master Cylinder is a 12mm and the new line is a 10mm. I will solve this issue buy using some of the old ABS lines and Spicing them into the new NON-ABS lines. 3 splices in total.
Once this is done the new front CRV/Type-R brakes and re-drilled 95 Prelude rotors can be installed and bled.
Things still to do:
Remove tranny and install OBX LSD
Cage, net, harness, and seat install
oil cooler install
Rear Sway bar
DA-RBS-01 $285
DA Subframe Brace with Integra Type R swaybar (22mm)
DA-RBS-02 $350
DA Subframe brace with ASR DC2 24mm and endlinks
If you want one, order one. They say it will be a limited production. I’m willing to be that they would make more if they could make money on it in the future. but who knows!
I got the ABS system removed and the NON ABS prop-valve into the car.
I made new lines that went from the existing rear lines (aluminum block inside engine bay) to the new Prop-valve rear line inlets. I also just cut off the rear master line and re attached it to the new non- abs line. This was so simple and removes the headache of the ABS. The new TYPE-R brakes were also installed.
Next on the list - install OBX LSD
Its been a while since the last update but I am starting on the cage. I borrowed a tubing bender and a welder so things are looking good.
The OBX LSD is in and the engine is all tuned up.
Integra Type R front brakes are installed and ABS removed
Painted the front hood and the decals should be coming soon
I also installed the new tires and rims , looks great.
cool, i remember you from rpr. wayy back, i came with my friend that had a 87crx to do a run around at mission raceway. i had the white DA back then… :). glad to see you’re building up a DA!. cant wait to see some pics of it.
