Im the car’s second owner, and the first owner garage kept it since 1992!
She parked it outside over the winter when she got a brand new tl.
Since I got it, I have installed the following:
-installed my pioneer headunit, speakers, and subwoofer/amp
-installed yellow fog lights and rewired them to be seperate from the headlights
-installed sylvainia siverstar ultra’s
-installed poly shifter bushings
-Polished head lights, foglights, and corner markers
-washed and detailed inside and out
My questions for you guys, I have been searching for the last week and have found info but I still have some questions
-Are there any steering wheel spacers for the stock wheel, Im 6’6" and i barely have enough knee room to drive the car, let me heel toe, i have been side stepping lol
Ill have more questions shortly… ON TO THE PICTURES OF THE CAR!
As far as wheel-extensions, I think you can get an aftermarket/detachable one that will extend it… NRG, Password JDM, JHP USA, etc are companies to look at.
the factory installed clutch is still in the car! 257k on the original clutch is crazy!
My future plans include
-fixing the rust on the passenger rear quarter
-dropping it 1.5-2in
-one piece headlights
-wheels
-roof spoiler
-s2k antenna retrofit
Edit- Does the ICU control cruise control, because my cruise is tempermental, it will work when it chooses to, I can set it once in a trip and it wont come on the rest of the drive or it will work fine the whole way. could the Interior control unit be the cause?
Looks a lot like mine did when I picked it up off an old lady. As far as the touch up paint, I went to Honda and ordered the touch up paint through them. Only problem is it’s a little darker because of the faded paint. Mine was always garage kept by the old lady but it still faded enough.
Oil was black but clean, the old filter was some off brand “quality replacement” brand lol. Replaced it with a Fram ExtraGuard and valvoline maxlife oil.
Repaced the old Nkg rf5r’s with brand new units, the gap on the old plugs was .86 xD soo far out of spec- the electrode was almost non existant.
From a previous valve cover leak, there was oil in the spark plug galley, so the oil drained into the cylinders, When I first started it up with the new plugs and oil it shoved a giant puff of blue smoke! scared the snot out of me, but then I realized what it was lol.
I broke the set/decel button off of my Cruise control assembly on the steering wheel if anyone has one please let me know!
you found yourself a sweet ride man! thats exactly what mine looked like when i found it on the side of the road for sale in 2000. She had high mileage at the time for her age but it was all highway miles and the guy took care of the car buy the book and kept every receipt. I let the car sit in the garage for nine years (parked it to do some upgrades and let it sit FOREVER) and just pulled it out and finished her. I have only 154,000 miles on the car. i am 32 now but feel 22 again every time i sit in her. Enjoy your sweet new ride bro!
here is a pic of mine.
about 6 months before i parked it for the makeover
Well Its been a while and my car has been through alot
Picked up ls mesh rims for about 60 bucks worth of sound system they came with brand new tires
Within a month I was driving down the high way and a deer decided to blindly jump across 6 lanes of traffic and landed on the front bumper of my car… rad support, head light, bumper light, dented my fender, corner light, battery, hood, windshield, radiator… all had damage.
Ended up replacing the lights with ebay 1 pieces for cheap, pulled the rad support best I could, bumper lense is shattered and I havent found another yet. picked up a Genuine Injen intake which sounds amazing, very throaty and sings at 5k rpm. Picked up the black hood for 20 bucks it needs to be repainted…
After I got it road worthy again I started toying around with a few things and got the headlights to fit decently… Grabbed a second valve cover from my best friend and got creative with it…
Final Product
Used high temp silver/chrome paint and plain ol’ light blue after I stripped it with aircraft stripper and primed it. I have had no problems with chipping or peeling.
Junkyard’ed a nice shift knob thats mounted with Blue Locktite to keep it in place.
There is a guy who is (unfortunately) ricing out his Da that has Jdm headlights. I asked If he wanted to trade, he likes my ebay specials better than his lights (apparently he doesnt know what He has) so Im trading headlights tommorow night for JDM one pieces :D:D:D
Next week Ill be getting my spare p75 socketed and chipped
Future plans:
Install my eibach sportlines
Header and exhaust
Rear visor
custom short throw, extended shifter…
NIce Da my man!!! Love the color (i am partial to blue DAs!!!) let me whore mine out and put some pics in as well!!!

More updates, Had to scrap my parts car this weekend… was sad to see them pick up a car and toss it with a forklift…
But I got a guy that had a near completely built rolling DA chassis who liked my Ebay headlights more then his Stanely 1 peices… so i traded him straight up The bulb housings were all chewed up to hell. I dremeled them out to get 9004’s to sit in… the housings are chewed up to the point that the stock h4h sockets are done, no chance saving them. So they are gonna get projectors and hids eventually.
while cleaning out the plastic shavings from dremeling i found out that the headlights have the yellow fog inserts! a welcome suprise to me!
While I had my headlights out I pulled my rad support and fixed the deer dings lol… i had to get creative.
Also got my pr4 chipped and socketed by randy of Import DPS. more timing and fuel above 5k and rev limiter up to 7400rpm along with launch control etc.
liking the progress, my question is how are you doing around 80mph and only @ 3500rpms? (seems pretty low) When im doing that speed, my rpms are at least over 4000. what kind of gas mileage do you get?
You have a beautiful car man, especially with them si wheels which is what I’m looking for. Now I have an idea what my car whould look like with them on cause it’slso blue just like yours except for yours looks a whole lot more cleaner on the outside. Where you able to pull your radiator support out like how you wanted it because i’d be interested in knowing, I also have to do that to mine to straighten it up from the previous owner jamming into something. I’d be very appreciated if you gave me some pointers on it. Thank You
