NEW valve, retainers and springs...PROB@!! HELP!!!!

ok, i got a new head put on my non vtec b18, it has new valves, dual valve springs that are new and new tit. retainers, would all these new hardwares on my head require a sooner then usual valve adj. becase the new products gotta seat in the head and break in? cuz seems like after 1,300 miles on the head im getting some noise that seems like a few valves that need adjusted, help!!! asap

I’d most definately do a valve adjustment. I hope you haven’t been pushing your valvetrain too hard over the past 1300 miles, it’s always good to allow 1000 miles for breakin when you change anything in your valvetrain.

I’d do a valve adjustment now, and then another one 3-5k miles down the road just to make sure everything “took” ok.

yeah go ahead and do a valve adjustment. It would seem logical after installing all the new toys

everytime the cams come out of the head, u have to go and do a valve adjustment. and make sure that u use the correct adjustments that are for ur cams. aftermarket cams require differnt adjustments then stock
