Only the block.
Head is PR3 like the B16 and ITR/CTR.
Dan quick question on this subject. Recently I ditched my b16 and installed a jdm obd-2 B18c with 2000 ITR cams. The question is do you think I will be good to go with the stock LMA’s take I don’t rev the motor passed the stock redline as it’s stilll running the stock valvetrain.
I would wait until they fail. They may last a long time. They won’t kill you motor when they fail, you’ll just get a “loose valve” noise and then you’ll have to replace them. If it’s not broke… you know.
sorry to revive such a old thread and G2guru has been such a huge help for me, but 2 of my LMA’s are tost and i want to replace with the new style LMA’s G2guru was talking about. dose anyone happen to know the honda part number for them?
I just went with b series skunk 2 ones man my guy recommended them to me
I’d buy OEM over Skunk 2.
The newer, spring-style LMA is Honda part #: 14820-pcb-305
I’d expect the Skunk2 to be perfectly fine, however I did opt to use the Science of Speed ones instead.

well my b17 will be turboed soon, will the OEM LMA’s hold up? or should i run the skunk2’s and colin how long have you been using the SOS LMA’s?
and just called honda and the OEM LMA’s are $28.32each so that dubble the price of the after market sets…
I just put them in to the engine I built so I can’t speak to longevity. Try searching honda- tech. But it’s just a spring, it’s not rocket science, so I’m not worried.
yes that is a very good point.
