I’ve been doing research on what parts and mods I can do… and I was wondering what’s a good start to modifying my car… I’m thinkin’ new cold air intake and a DTM muffler by Tanabe… but I want to know some other opinions on it and possibly cheaper alternatives instead… since I have next to no cash on me and the above 2 look like about $700 for those 2 parts…
What superchargers or turbos are there for a 1990 integra GS? and how much am I looking at spending to get them…?
thanx for the info…! do you know the web addresses or contact info of the turbo kit manufacturers? since i’m prolly gonna look into the turbo’s after i have the money and time… since i can’t find anything on it online…
Ummmm…not to discourage you or anything, but since you are strapped for cash, I would leave the intake and the exhaust alone for the time being. You will find that 2.25" exhaust piping is fairly small for turbo applications. You might want to bump that up to 2.5" or 3.0" depending on the turbo. If I were you, suspension mods first (i.e. Springs, Shocks, Swaybars). Maybe get some good 15-17" wheels. Upgrade the brakes and repaint the calipers. A Short Shifter is always a good mod (along with shifter bushings).
Research your turbo project first. Make a FINAL decision and stick to it. Any engine mods you do now might end up being a waste of time and money coz’ you’ll end up changing them again down the road when you go turbo.
