I had them for less than a year and they failed me (my car started to run on 3 cyl.) as soon as I replaced them with the stock wires (half the cost of the ngks) the problem went away! good thing I was right next to the dealer!
I know that someone may love these wires out there, but I’m just going to stick with the plugs.
Well NGKs are the stock wires found on Integras, so I’d like to know what you replaced them with.
If you bought the black ones from the dealer, they have next to no warranty. If you buy the blue ones from a parts store, you get lifetime warranty.
My GS-R is on it’s 3rd set of NGKs black (next will be the blues, I just learned about the warranty this summer). Wires do fail after a while. My Civic has the blues, and so far, so good.
actually mine are red… I assume that black is what you get with the vtec. and that’s great that there’s a lifetime warranty on them, but I don’t need them to fail while I’m driving.
I think that the wire separated where it connects to the boot. I was just accelerating hard and it just failed on me (don’t know why.) I know it’s the wire for a few reasons. one is that if you pull it out with the engine on, you hear no spark (try it, you’ll know what I’m talking about.) also, when I push down on the wire onto the spark plug the cyl. starts to fire up again (hinting that the wire is making contact to itself again. and the new wires made my problem go away! (with no problems since… this all happened a few months ago.) and he’s right, they are sumitomo wires.

Hahahah, I had the EXACT same thing happen with a set of morroso wire, nothing but stock wires for me thankyou.
i was just thinking, my car has 183k and i dont know how old the wires are, they’re sumitomo’s i know that. could my car be running alot slower bc the wires are shitty? i’d like to know how i only beat that STOCK eclipse GS!!! by like 3 lengths to 75 the other day:( dont make fun of me, i think there’s a problem with my car somewhere that is simple yet POWER ROBBING!
thanks,
Brian
i’ve had ngk blue wirew on my '90 for almost 8 years. Tehy still work perfect as far as i can tell. One or two of the bulgy boots ripped off recently and stayed stuck around the spark plug head on me. Was a pain to get them out; had to go buy super long needle nosed pliers.
they have a lifetime warranty? Suppose i would need the receipt for that?
