Would the doors have to be open to take them off? I have an alarm but worried about they can be taken off from the outside…

You’d be surprised by how much they hold on. I’ve had mine on for a long time (2-door version) and I’ve never had any problems with theft. The clips are pinched in between the door/outer window trim and it’s honestly a very tight fit. The mounting hardware also has a notch on the inside so that it grabs the trim on the inside for a better hold. Don’t forget as well that they are held on by double-sided sticky tape along the top of the window trim. You have a very high chance of breaking them without the doors open and without proper tools.
