Hey guys I have had my Teg for a year, and its never had heat. I plan on fixing it sometime this week. And want to be prepared. As for the 2 radiator hoses they both get hot, the temp gauge goes midway when warmed up. So I don’t think it is the thermostat. I have bled the system of air and still no heat. One thing I have noticed is that when I move the temperature gauge to hot/cold and vice versa the heater valve cable doesn’t move at all. So I think it could be the cables not connected right. The heater core could be clogged I haven’t ran a hose through it yet to see. But anyways any ideas and tips on how to diagnose it all would be great thanks in advance g2ic.
if the heater valve cable isnt moving then you found your problem. its not opening to allow coolant into the core giving you hot air in the cabin…

One thing I didn’t mention is that I can move the valve myself and there is no difference in heat at all. So I am still stuck.
with the engine at operating temp, heater valve open, have a feel on the inlet and outlet hoses to the heater core. if they aren’t roughly the same temp, the core is plugged. if that’s the case, try back flushing the core. make sure to flush in the reverse direction of coolant flow. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. if not, gonna have to replace the core
Alright well I appreciate the help, but I got it fixed now…well semi fixed, the temperature dial wasn’t moving the arm that opens the valve and the heater door to let in heat, so I manually just pulled it forward and now have heat.
i thought you said you manually opened the valve and still had no heat?
he did
