no spark issue

ok first of all, i ran out of idea after i diagnosed as much as i can and no lucky with finding the problem there.

cranking the engine and there is no spark.

I tested on…

  1. ignitier is working
  2. coil is working
  3. black/yellow wire, its has power
  4. distributor rotor does turn
    5)checked all fuse is good

Whats next should i checking on?

You testing plugs or wires?

both are fine. Testing and no spark came from coil during cranking engine after pulled cap out.

Cranking with the cap off is not a good idea…could damage your coil.

How do you know your igniter is good? There is no easy way to tell – except swapping in a known good one.

Check your coil again. Pull it off and measure the resistance. Also visually inspect for any signs of arcing/damage (look closely).

To add to what he said, cranking without a cap installed could kill your coil, but the resistance test may still show it as a good coil. There would be a slight burn mark on the side of the coil where the high voltge burned a new shorter path to ground.

Its was cutting corner for testing on coil which is no good.

I took ignitier to oreilly auto store and they has ignition module tester and its passed.

Its turned out that main fuel relay is faulty, ecu has no power when turn ignition on (Im deaf so i cannot heard the click things nor fuel pump operates). I took MFR out and resoldering some crack spots.

Now its running and see hows it going by few days later.

You guys, thanks for replies
