Check out this article, they dont like the g2 at all.
But oh well, my car rocks.
And heres an interesting fact, every g2 in Aus is a LS with all the XSi options and a b18a.
This is the first article I’ve read that rated the G2 Integra poorly. So my analysis: The author is either an Honda-Hater or just a moron.
ouch! that guy must really hate our cars!, we only got 2 out of 5?
They must really see things differently down under…
That guy is Wack. I have no idea what kinda cars you guys have in Australia, but they better be damme good, to be cutting up the Integra so badly.
That guy is probably gay anyways:gay:
thats just dumb. i dont mind his negative review, it doesnt really differentiate between other cars than the crx and peugot (?), and only points on the driveshaft and power steering. other than that the rest can be taken with a grain of salt.
whats worse is why is he comparing a 1990-1993 model (but points out the 1988 styling) in 1997? only briefly does he mention the current model. so hes mixing up 3 generations, great.
not only that but as for the “over sensitive steering due to the ps”, i always thought the opposite. probably due to my honda history.
and as for speed, well we all know our 2nd gens rock compared to others of the same years and price range. what a :loser:
i think this guy is just mad becasue he couldn’t handle a teg, as for some ofthe comments they are BS 300 bucks for an axle? haha i pay 101.99 CND life time warranty, my 90 had all orignail part from the lot including axles when i got it, and it had over 200,000 miles on it. i’ve since changed the timmin belt (for the first time ever) both axles, and struts this week ,but thats becasue i wave lowered it a bit too much
“Service history - Consistent Honda care important.” what is care? drive it like you stole it? change the oil every 10000mile or so,drive from canada to flordia and forget to put the oil cap back on untill south carolina? In that car he is right, and my baby will still do 220km/h(140mph) with out a bit of smoke!

Well, at that time they had Lancer EVO’s, WRX’s, CRX SiR’s (w/B16A), Pug 205’s, Sunny GTi (SR20DET FWD hatch), and many other (faster/better handling) cars than the G2 Integra. In the US it’s concidered pretty fast and handles well, elsewhere it’s slow and sloppy. I guess it’s just a matter of perspective. In Japan the G2 Integra was never really concidered a “performance” car either.
damm loser… most journos are like that, remember, to each his own, this guy didnt own one, just trying to get as mch bad points as he can.:tsk: :gun2:
now required 1.8 litres in order to go no faster than its predecessor.
after owning a G1 and then a G2, i have serious problems with this statement that the article made inparticular
Yall also have to bear in mind that where a car is bought makes the car different…each manufacturer makes cars different than other manufacturers depending on their country/continent regulations…like JDM is a bit different than USDM and CDM

Australia (and the UK) usually get JDM cars, since they both have RHD and drive on the “other” side of the road than we do . . . .
I’m not sure what the JDM/AuDM G1’s were like, but I’m willing to bet they had more power than a USDM G1 (like everything else). So the G2 with a B18A probably didn’t go much faster than the lighter G1.
Anyway, who cares. It was an article written a long time ago by a guy in a different country.
His definition of decent rear seat space is amusing. Leg room is tolerable for the size car, but head room is awful.
Well I read that article before I bought my teg, but I totally ignored it.
In the G2 exists a car which other car manufacturers have been able to match in only the past few years, in terms of performance (ignoring turbos), handling, fit and finish, as well as quality.
Yes, here is Australia tegs, as well as honda parts, are very expensive… my car’s valued at Au$14,500, and bits such as the horn badge on my steering wheel cost around $25, air filter from honda around Au$50 and such
From the mid 80’s we saw many turbo cars here, which would, and still can, chop the tegs. TX3’s, Cordia’s, MX6’s, RX7’s, and more. and now with imports the way they are, every second joe has a Skyline or a Silvia or a Sleighty.
but stuff them, I have power windows and a sunroof! I’ve always maintained that my car was built as a luxury tourer, not a racer. Back then, the Prelude was the sportier of the two.
Also, my teg has all options, other than ABS and leather… and I have seen tegs with hubcaps which have the spoiler and sunroof, so things are weird here.
I should be the Aussie G2 Correspondent, I spend enough time on here!
I thought sleighty’s were called Sil 80’s …Just wondering…
i dont like this guy.
k…
I haven’t seen this thread in…well…
i emailed them and gave them a peice of my mind :gunleft:
you do know this article is like 1 1/2 years old…
