Every time i hit a bump or even a slight bump i here this rattling noise like loose metal. I know its coming from the back left because i purposely hit bumps with the left side and when i hit bumps on the right…nothing. I do notice that the brakes on the back isnt working good because the rotors is still rusty and all the others are nice and shiny. Also i think the ebrake cable on the left side broke .!
Well…if ound out what the noise was…The brake pads are loose jumpin around every where (which would explain why it wasnt working). Why the hell are they loose like that and i pressed the brake pedal the caliper didnt squeez? anyone know the problem?
Try bleeding the brakes. My have air in yor lines.
if air was causing this the right front would also be affected.
RUKDA9: check to see that you’re getting pressure to the left rear caliper by getting someone to push the brake pedal and loosening the bleeder screw on the caliper. if fluid squirts out then you probably need to replace the caliper. if you dont get fluid there then disconnect the line itself from the caliper and check there. if nothing there then follow the brake line itself back as far as you have to to find the restriction.
also check the right front brakes for any similar issues.
thanks for replys. Yeah…the front right is working fine…so i guess the calipers bad?
if you got fluid to squirt out the bleeder but the caliper does not squeeze then yes you need a caliper.
if you don’t want to check it, just buy a caliper.
