Noise from Gauge cluster

I hear a funny “cracking” sound coming from the Gauge cluster area when I accelerate… Please help!!?

The Only Mechanical Part in your gauge cluster Is the Speedo and the Speedo Cable…Its one or the other.

Guys, I really need some help…

I went to Acura and they tried to help me. They disconnected the Speed-O cable and it was still making noise.

The noise sounds like a “cracking static sound” that is only heard when I am accelerating, but when I stop accelerating and coast it’s not making noise. And if I am in Neutral and rev the car, it not making noise… only when I am driving and when I accelerate. It sounds like it’s coming inside the Gauge area. Any ideas? Anyone have a pic or even a service sheet on what it looks like in the gauge cluster.

Thank you!

Is your car automatic?

You could also just buy a used instrument cluster for like $75 or so right?

It’s a 5 speed…

Someone told me at it could be something along the firewall… ummmm, yes?

Ok… I got a MOMO streering wheel installed a few months ago… could it be somthing in the cruise control?? OR could it be in the belt system on the motor??

I found it… I think… Engine Motor Mount

Same here…

I haven’t found it yet but I’m going to seach the driver’s side vent and also the up under the dash because i’m painting the trim this weekend. I’ll get back to you with what I find.
