Noise from the tire/break.. whats wrong?

I am constantly hearing a noise coming from the right front side of the car (right-hand drive, by the way) Sounded like “woon…woon…woon…” and when I step on the breaks, the noise changes to an air-flushing kind of sound and stops when the car is in complete stop.

The car drives fine… (so far…) but I am a bit concerned that if its something grinding with other parts, maybe I should get it fixed before it causes a bigger problem.

Also, probably not related to the above problem, sometimes when I turn the wheels all the way to either end (or maybe just to the ride side), I hear a squeak… but most of the time it is fine and makes no noise. axle is broken or CV boot needs to be replaced?

Any one has similar problems before? Sorry I do not know much about cars and am learning as I go with this teg.

Well, the sound that your hearing while your driving is probably your wheel bearing. Does it get worse when you go around corners (get louder)??
It could also be your axle or a power steering related problem.
The squeak that your hearing while turning is your power steering. You should check your fluid level and if your low add some fluid.
It is VERY important to use only honda power steering fluid in hondas too. If you use anything else it will eat the o-rings and seals out of the power steering system, literally. Honda makes a special fluid for their cars so get it from the dealer.

I took the car to Honda to do a maintanance checkup and told them about it. they told me its “normal” and not to worry about it. However, recently I noticed that the noise has increased (or at least it sounded that way). I can notice the wooon wooon noise when the car is moving faster then 10km (can totally hear it if running in tiny streets where sound reflects off the buildings to the side). Noise is still there even when I cruse, but is gone as soon as I step onto the breaks.

turning and such has no problem at all, no sqeaking or anything. alighment seems ok too… car drives fine too…

anyone got any idea?

it could very well be “normal”. the basic materials that cars are made out of will sometimes develop sounds at different times of the year… has the weather is your are been changing alot lately? here in socal it is very hot and a lot of cars will develop electronic related problems around this time. thats jus what ive noticed…

or they might have simply overlooked it when you took it in… might wanna get another opinion…

squeeks might be a bad bushing somewhere.

and BR’s comments are true too.
