noob header question

will a G2 1990-91 LS non-vtec header fit with a b18c1 G3 GSR swap?

ie. will it clear the oil pan and front crossmember? is the 02 sensor where it should be? will it bolt up to the cat/midpipe.

it’s just that i have this brand new greddy 2-piece non-vtec header that has been sitting in my closet and don’t want it to go to waste…

if it doesn’t fit your ride, how much you asking for it?

not sure… haven’t gotten that far yet.

i had been planning to just rebuild the top end of the b18a1 that is in the car right now and replace the old dc header that is on there at the moment, but a really cheap b18c1 has just surfaced locally… so i’m just exploring my options.

the vtec head sits higher than a stock ls head so therefore the header won’t fit. and if u get a gsr stock header, your gonna have to extend ur cat cuz of the downpipe it runs like 6 inches short

^bad info^…I have a 92-93 header on a b18c. No clearance problems what so ever. Bolted up fine. No need to shorten or extend. I imagine a 90-91 would be the same.

ok well the header i used for my b20vtec was a 01 gsr header cuz 91 header didn’t fit at all

what little i know of the difference between the 90-91 and 92-93 LS non-vtec header is that the 02 sensor bung location is different?

if your exhaust is made for a 90-91 and header is made for 90-91 then trust me…you’re good to go

I’m doing a swap from b18a to b18c1 and have Greddy header, I test fitted my header while the motor was in the air and it fit perfectly. As far as other brands not sure.

i’m guessing GSR (C1) headers will fit an ls/vtec using a PR3 head?
