noob needs help with foglights!

About 2 years ago I purchased a 93 integra LS from a private party; it came with no manuals/owners guide etc, so please excuse my “newbie” question:

I’m trying to get the foglights to work. The dash button doesn’t seem to be active (as the colored area does not show when the button is pressed - like the red light for rear window defrost or the green/blue light for cruise control), and the lights obviously do not turn on when this is pressed.

What steps must I take to make my foglights function? Is it the steps in the “rewiring fog lights” teg tips page, or something more than that? Or did fog lights (actual working fog lights, not the physical existance of the lenses in the front of the car) come as an option in 93 LS models, and perhaps the original owner did not pay for this luxury?

Basically - if my car has never had fog lights that work, what do I have to do to get them to work? (as far as installing bulbs, rewiring work, etc etc)

Thanks!

All G2’s have foglights… But you need to have the headlights switch to the ON position for them to work… Try it and let us know! If they don’t work with the headlights ON, you have a problem somewhere, but try this first.

Ah - that would be the problem. As I said, excuse the newbie  Is there any way to be able to run foglights without headlights on? Also - if thew stock bulbs in foglights are the same as the headlight bulbs (in color), what is the difference? Are the foglights angled down?

The fogs do are aimed down and are about the same color as headlights(stock for stock)

If you wanna run them when you want, look in the Teg Tips, you’ll find how to do it…
