Novitec F430 vs Enzo - drag race

To showcase the awesome power created by the Novitec Rosso twin-supercharged Ferrari F430, ZR Auto owner Zahir Rana decided to stage a competition. At his local dragstrip in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Rana pitted the NR F430 against his most prized possession, a bright yellow Enzo – the ultimate street-legal Ferrari.

The Novitec F430 technically makes more power than the Enzo, with 707 hp versus the 660 hp of the Enzo, but is that enough to dethrone the million-dollar supercar? Watch and find out!

Why are they doing these slow-rolling launches?

Drivetrain…thats my guess

Very well put together. I like it!!

you have to do rolling starts because these cars have paddle shift transmissions like F1 if you were to just give it gas from the hole all you would do is burn the clutch and go no where… yes they are “manual” but not really… the clutching is done by seloniods, each gear has a seloniod, the computer that does the shifting is called MOTRONIC in ferrarilandia/maserati … the clutch is fully engaged after 1800 rmps after that your good… that is why these clutch only last 12K miles if you baby it… if not your looking at about $3k for a clutch everytime, since its a wear and tear parts its not covered under warranty…

Euro spec F430s have launch control, i dont know if euro spec Enzo’s have it also but most likely they would… however there is a way to do launch control on USDM ferraris, you have to hit both paddles at the same time, then let go blah blah blah…
