They have a small heater element to them that raises the temperature of the sensor for start-up where the sensor would eitherwise be cold and not at operating temperature thus making the sensor less accurate.
Yes, the Bosh OBD-1 (like OEM) is heated: 2 wires for the heater element, 1 for sensor signal, 1 for sensor ground.

for my 92ls (4-wire obd1 heated o2 sensor) i got an o.e. style sensor for 50$ shipped (o.e. style in the fact that it comes with a plug-no splicing)
got to me in a bout a week! waay cheaper than what the stealership wanted [/B]
that’s a good price… might need to look into that.
