I got my DC Sports header installed. We took out the stock o2 sensor and put it into the dc header. It keeps friggin falling out when im driving making my car sound like a straight header car.
I am planning on using epoxy, but i have a question. Would epoxy be able to withstand such heat???
whiteyg2RS: Yea, for some reason it’s not screwing in properly. I think i messed up the size of the o2 sensor when we knocked at it for it to come loose off of the stock exhaust manifold. What’s a lock washer?
A lock washer is like a regular washer that has been cut and twisted a little bit. When you tighten it, it puts pressure on the bolt head(or in this case the O2 sensor) and the threads and keeps the bolt from backing out. Just go to any parts store(Ace, Napa, Home Depot) and look for some broken looking washers. HTH.
Update on my o2 sensor problem: Well as it turns out i looked at the thread of my stock o2 sensor and it seems to be grinded on a few threads, Probably why it doesn’t screw in too tight. So i went out and forked out 30 bux for a new Bosch o2 sensor. Works great now…oh well needed to replace the 11 year old sensor anyway. Thx for the help guys.
