O2 sensor rusted in place..or something

anybody got any ideas how to get an o2 sensor out that’s rusted in? There isn’t really enough room in there to get a breaker bar in there and I can’t get that thing to budge at all…hot or cold. (as i understand it hot is better?) If anyone has any ideas or tips, let me know.

do you have a o2 sensor switch socket they are pretty big, warm up the car and use a lot of wd40 or Pb blaster
It is a lot easier with the radiator out but i have done it with the radiator in

you have a few options…

  1. remove the exhaust manifold and just put it on the ground and rip out the o2 sensor
  2. take off the heat shield and get a breaker bar in there. what i used was a breaker with an elbow on it to make room
  3. no matter how much wd40 you use you won’t get it. it’s rusted in there, you need to force it out
  4. also, if it’s not in that badly borrow an impact wrench, unfortunately mine was soo good in there i had to use a combo of impact wrench/breaker bar
  5. finally, check to see if the current o2 sensor still works, if it does, f*ck changing it now!

get a new o2 sensor, those things should be a part that is replaced, because they go bad, and u wont have to bother replacing it later on. u will get better gas milage when u replace it.
