Oh i have changed the §§§§§ to a ls §§§§§ from 94 ls, now i dnt understand do i need to change engine harness? This is my first swap dealing with Obd0 to obd1, I always stayd with obd2 but I really like Da body style.=]
Help plz.

Assuming all the wiring in the car is 92-93…

  1. You will want a 92-93 rs/ls/gs engine harness.
  2. You will need an obd1 non-vtec distributor
  3. You will need obd1 injectors
  4. All of the above parts will “bolt in” or simply connect right up with both the engine and existing wiring except for the ECT switch. The 92-93 engine harness will have a gray connector near the distributor wiring. On the OBD1 engines there is an ECT switch located on the thermostat housing. On your OBD0 engine the ECT switch is located on the back of the block. It is also a completely different style of switch. You will need to cut off the gray connector from your engine wiring harness and solder on the correct connectors for the OBD0 ECT switch. More specific information regarding the ECT switch and other often confusing sensors/switches/sending units can be found HERE. Read it a few times, it can sound confusing but it’s all really basic stuff.
