i wanted to know if a ls engine 90-91 can be converted to obd1???
Yes
the reason i was asking cuz i purchase a 93 integra gs, and i just found out it has a 90-91 engine in it, but the ecu is still obd1 so…
i guess i can use anything obd1 correct? including ems?
The biggest differences are not in the motor but in the distributor and the number and type of 02 sensors and injector type. .
We need to what you want to change.
im getting ready to boost the vehicle…
so i be changing out the injectors to dsm 450cc, i already changed the distributors . the distributor was the same as any other b-series non vtec.
so how many and what type of o2 sensors do i have?
i plan to purchase a p28/p06 chipped ecu tuned with crome…is there something that i should becareful for?
thanksfor your help
If the ECU in the car now is a OB1 then you should all ready have 2 O2 sensors and they should have 4 wires on each. There would be no need to change the distributors if it an OB1 distributors. It sounds to me like like some just droped in 90-91 engine and left the car as an 0B1. Like I said there no biggest differences in just the motor.
On a Honda engine, OBD1 is 1 4 wire O2 sensor, not 2 O2 sensors.
OBD2 and up has multiple O2 sensors (1 before the cat and 1 after).
coolies, thanks for the help
i have a b18a1 want to switch to obd1 also. i have my bros (dead) 93 teg and he said i can strip the cap out of it. So my question is what do i need to convert harness wise, what connectors should i cut off to splice, and do i take the engine harness? i already have the ecu,and the distributor.
You will need to take both the engine and the car harness, to make the switch or buy the kit and change it over.
