i have Obd0 and plan to go up obd1 conversion. Can i buy any MSD ignition distributor and still be able to do the conversion?

Why would you buy an MSD distributor? I don’t see any reason to use anything but OEM or a nearly OEM one from Distributor King. The MSD unit isn’t going to be any better than OEM. Possibly if you’re running a 1000hp drag car it may be a benefit, but you’ll see 200-300whp b series engines running OEM distributors pretty much exclusively. Plus the MSD is horribly ugly.
OBD0 is OBD0 and OBD1 is OBD1. Just make sure you’re using the right distributor for the ECU and electronics you’re going to use. From the looks of it, MSD does not even make an OBD0 distributor.
sorry i just realized msd cap is only for the cap only. I needed distributor for the conversion so i can get a hondata. also i want to get the msd’s for my turbo so yea.
I would suggest doing some serious research before going out and buying MSD ignition products. All of the info I’ve gathered thusfar is that it’s a waste and there’s really no reason to use anything but OEM ignition components.
