im in the process of gathering everything i need for my obd1 conversion. im stuck at the o2 sensor at the moment. all the ones ive been finding have a plug on the end with 4 wires coming out of it. according to the write up on here, i need to run the individual wires to different places.
my question is, will i be able to cut the plug off the end and just use the wires without an issue?

Yes. Or you could find a plug for the harness in the car at the junkyard. I believe obd1 civics use the same connectors as ours.
finnaly… thank you for an answer.
by getting the plug that the o2 sensor connects to on the obd1 wire harness and connecting it to my obd0 harness, does that eliminate the need to run a wire to the ecu like it says in the write up?
You don’t use the wire from your obd0 harness. Use only the ones from the obd1 harness.
depending on where you are getting your ecu and/if getting it tuned, but some ecu’s/tuners just eliminate the o2 so dont beat yourself up over it and buy a 100 dollar 4 wire o2 if you are just gona get it deleted. or buy yourself a wideband.
for instance i got my ecu from phearable.net for my b20vtec and i went obd0-obd1 and had the o2 delete with the pre-tune. gona add my wideband soon and vafc until i can get it on the dyno.
most likely tho you are going to need to cut the connector, or depin it, if you would like to/need to run it, and just get on rywire.com it has a pretty good obd0-obd1 conversion write up
