What is up with the OBX high flow cat?? Is it even a cat?? I saw one today I’m thinking of buying and it looks more like a test pipe than a cat. Anyone running these?? I just basically want to know if my shit will smell like eggs like a test pipe usually makes it smell. My buddy has a carsound high flow cat and it doesnt stink at all and was wondering if this OBX one would since it looks more like a test pipe than a cat. Let me know.

Thats what I kinda figured since you could look down the damn thing and it looked like nothing was in there. Do you think this would make my car smell like eggs?? Thats the one part I hate about test pipes. I still might get it since its basically free but I guess I will still need to order a carsound cat eventually. Or atleast before my next emissions test. :giggle:

Yeah but in WA the cops arent really looking for illegal parts. We mostly just have to worry about passing emissions, there are no visual inspections or anything. Ive never even had to pop my hood before for any reason. I’ll try the resonated test pipe thing out and if I cant stand the smell I’ll get a carsound cat like I planned.
i just bought one will install it this weekend with my new header and o2 sensor, will post back with my opinions, hopefully its good for 40 bucks plus shipping it should be.
i have an OBX high cat flow, well like everyone else had been saying its pretty much a testpipe, you do feel a diffirence and my car did get a little louder, but well worth it and i can only speak for my obx cat but i got no foul egg smell
you lose ALOT of bottom, i only felt gains above 7k, i put the stock gutted cat back on and it feels much better
really? i havent noticed it on mine, do you have a ls/vtec setup or just ls engine? i have not felt much lose but maybe i could be wrong…
i’ve used it on both my old ls-vtec and now my b16, its fine for ls-vtec, but for b16 i suggest you do the same as me
